Does anyone know if Craftsman being more widely available at Lowes has also extended their warranty network? I have a lot of ratchets I wanted to swap and I'm curious if anyone knows if i can swap them at Lowes or if i have to find a Sears?

Lowe's and Ace Hardware no problem if they have it on hand.

I can confirm Ace hardware, I have exchanged several. They take my broken one and give me another off the shelf. I have never even had to fill anything out.

I went to my local Lowe’s before the lockdown and they would not exchange my broken ratchets. They had me call a number to have replacements sent to me. That was a little more than three weeks ago and I have not received anything.

I am just going to cut my losses and buy into a different brand now that Lowe’s owns Craftsman.

I think Lowe’s *does*honor this warranty for Kobalt tools. Some of the Kobalt stuff is made in Taiwan and of very good quality, but you have to be careful because some is made in China.

I'm thinking you got a bad sales person. I have used both Lowes and Ace Hardware for screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, and more. It has to be on the shelve for in store replacement. I would not give up
I would check this link for help.

This last week, brought in a broken socket to Lowes. Grabbed a replacement went to checker ( younger gal ) She wanted to charge me for both? What, I have the broken one and the replacement. She then tried to charge me for the new one. Forget it. Went to Ace Hardware walked in, walked out. That easy to replace, the way it's should be.
