A few recents adventures have left behind some damage on my rear LCA. There are surface scratches and what appears to be a minor bend but only very minor. The mount bracket in the rear has been crunched a some as well. I will post pics of these later but the Jeep is in the shop right now for an unrelated issue.

A few noob questions
(1) will that arm bend result in a vibration at speeds? what other concerns are there with a very slight bend
(2) what are the upgrade recommendations assuming I replace it in short order
(3) do you upgrade the bracket in addition to the control arm
(4) what about skid plates for this area? I see options from Rusty's and Artec that require welding. This exceeds my personal tooling level but I should be able to find someone to do the work assuming it's not crazy expensive for a few welds.

Artec has bolt on for rear. You may need to bend it back or use a big hammer to get them on depending on the damage you did.

Most of us with lifts have extra arms. Let me know if you want to buy the rears.

I have the Rock Hard LCA skids. 1/4" steel and completely bolt on! There's plenty of aftermarket beefy LCAs out there.

I didn't see the Hard Rock option before now but it looks good and easy to install. I see Artec has a bolt on option too, http://www.artecindustries.com/JL_LCA_Bolton_skids.

I have the Mopar lift on my JLUR but I sold my original suspension. I assume the control arm length changed with the lift, is that right? If this is right, then I guess the control arm I buy as a replacement has to match the other arm length.

You should check the BOM or instructions but I think mopar uses stock rear arms. 1 of the Fronts are different, I believe.

Is there a more "heavy duty" option than going with the mopar option? or is the heavy duty option install a skid plate with the same replacement arm?

This control arm point seems like it is a big bullseye for damage with any rock crawling.

The armor will help. Where did you damage the arm? Certainly rock krawler arms are way more beefy, but may have clearance issues without proper back spacing or wheel spacers.
