Well...all done! First thing I noticed is how different the finish is on my rails compared to ones posted before...very smooth finish compared to others.

ROAM sent the flagnuts which were 100% easier than the rivnuts (at least by what I've read). Only needed to have my wife hold the bracket in place when I installed the flagnuts - otherwise all done by myself.

Only hardspot was because I was stupid and tightened the driver side flagnut bracket too much so rail wouldn't fit on. No other curse points.

Also did not use a jack - wasn't needed as the 3 bolts on passenger side came out easily enough and nothing needed to be propped up.

I think my gap is a bit more noticable than others - and I don't seem to have much play to make it any closer.

What do you think?

You don’t be want the frame sliders too close to the body. You want the frame to be able to take a hit independent of the body.

Looks good. I set a wide gap as well in case they move a little. I also like the look a little better than when it’s tucked up real close however, it’s a personal preference

These look fantastic and based on this I am going to order some as well.

Do you know why yours came out so smooth? I love the look. Previously they seem to have a texture to them. I am going to use one of your photos and request the same.

These look great! Are these the Frame mounted or Body mounted ones?

They are frame mounted versions.

AS far as why they are smooth - believe it is the new "norm" from ROAM as they have a new coating process for all products.

Installed mine today. It was more work than I planned. Don’t drop the ROAM plate into the step. Took me about 10 minutes to get it back out.

Did the same thing...a little upset that mine didn't come with the nuts to lock that plate in place...so not using for now.

You are going to want a decent gap so the slider can take a good smash and not hit the body. Maybe a half inch at least.
100%. I've seen the crunching. If I do decide to wheel harder than I envision, I'm seriously considering ace sliders with the factor rails.
