Driving our 2019 JL Rubicon on the highway under 50 mph, rain and temp around 50 degrees. Heard beeping from dash and check engine light come on, power steering fails, forward collision warning light come on along with a slew of other messages. Problems continue as Service Shifter pops up and transmission stays in a lower gear. Turned jeep off/on and power steering comes back, check engine stay on so car is driveable - then it happens again a few miles down the road. No power steering, ACC/FCC Unavailable, Blind Spot Temporarily Unavailable, AutoPark Disabled (didn't know we had this feature).

Not very happy with a expensive new car (bought Jan 2019) having this issue though we have driven 12K uneventful miles.

Any ideas, I've read there might be a TSB on reseting the computer. Has anyone experienced the same and had a solid fix?

Only have added a FabFours front bumper, winch & lights.

Hi Ernie,
We regret to hear about your experience with your JL. If you need any assistance while working to address this with your dealer, please send our team a PM. We would be happy to connect you with a Case Specialist to assist.

OP,
You might wish to open your fuse box and see if all fuses are seated. Many here report “electric issues” due to what they conclude are fuses not fully seats. When I purchased my 2020 a few weeks ago, I checked mine and all were seated from the factory.

Picked up the Jeep yesterday after the dealer checked it out. They found a low voltage issue and charged the battery, they also "flashed" the systems to fix the potential communication issues between the systems. When I picked it up I went straight to the Uconnect system to bring up the OffRoad Pages in order to have the voltage and other gauges on screen. Noticed the OffRoad app was not there and others took a long while to load. Service writer said it happens and it should come back at some point (it did this morning). Noticed the voltage is at 14.5 when driving and 13.2 when at a stop. Is there a way I can check if there is a draw on the system (i.e. bad ground from my winch direct connect to battery, lights to Aux switches)? Also, pushed every relay and fuse to seat them - probably 80% were not all the way seated. The loading of the Uconnect apps is still very slow. I certainly hope the low voltage issue does not return, it was not fun/safe for this to happen on the highway.

They also performed the steering dampener recall. Didn't really have an issue prior, a little "loose" but not bad at all. Now if feels stiffer, nice but it is pulling to right - hopefully that loosens up or I'll have to take it back. I love this Jeep, I hope it doesn't start to have more issues. Also happy that JeepCares reached out - I have not responded to them as I'm hoping to keep it at the dealer level.

Two days out it all happened again less the power steering. This is frustrating.

So this is what happens now when I crank my jeep.... I push in the clutch press the start button and then this happens...... I have no words. Today is March 2nd and I called my local jeep dealership and they cant get me in for an appointment until March 24!!!! no power steering either... I have to crank it and turn it off like 4 times before the power steering will work again and now my check engine light is on...

Just went through a similar issue. Jeep found that part of the wiring harness was rubbing and supposedly worked its way down to the wires causing it all the short out. The replaced and rerouted that part of the harness and no issues now (granted its only been a couple of days)...

Apparently this section of the harness was near the swaybar disconnect area or something

I have the same problem with mine. Issue only occurs when water is present and only happens on my rubicon, never on my sport. 2000KM on it. It’s back at the dealer now, first time they didn’t do anything. Second time they described a wiring issue similar to what bam9482 had mentioned. Hopefully this time they actually fix it.

i had the same issue. Blown fuse. I asked the techs at our shop (I work at the dealership) and they didnt recall which one. Def go over your fuse box and check all your fuses adn make sure they are seated well. hope this helps.

Blown Fuse...
As an EE, that's an indication that there is an intermittent electrical short some where.
Like other have mentioned, checking/replacing the wiring around front axle would be recommended.

I'm having same issues... couple weeks ago they thought they found the issue...but it has happened randomly since...but then on Sunday I washed the Jeep and the next moring dash was crazy...even the wipers wer going by themselves... even said "NO BUS" ..so they are replacing the entire harness up by the firewall.... this is beyond crazy for 1.5 year old Jeep and just turned 30k KM... kinda sad really....

Any others had a good resolution?
