Damn... please tell me this was a Black Friday or other reoccurring deal.
They had it going about 5-6 weeks ago.

I posted this on another thread, thought it might be useful here too. Using the factory specs and this calculator, I charted out how suspension & tire height increases change the breakover angle. This does not account for the distance between the tires changing (which would also have an effect on breakover), but It's close enough for now.

Example: a 2" lift on 35" tires would be +3" (because the 35" tire is only 1" greater in radius)
Breakover Angle vs. Rubicon Lift.png

It's not linear, but for every inch the:
  • 2-door gains roughly 2.2Ā° of breakover angle
  • 4-door gains roughly 1.8Ā° of breakover angle
  • Gladiator gains roughly 1.6Ā° of breakover angle

That's cool and all, but this thread is about skid plates.

... and loss of ground clearance.

When you looooose ground clearance, you are usually also loosing breakover angle too.

Itā€™s hard to correlate loss of ground clearance due to skids (whatever brand) and the protection you get from the skids. I have the MC skids and I couldnā€™t care less about clearance because thereā€™s no way I can really hurt them or whatā€™s underneath. Iā€™m sure itā€™s the same with Rustys and the others.
