Loss of cargo space under cargo mat?

Has anyone figured out what happened with the cargo space?

In this video at the 8:33 mark, he shows under the cargo mat and the loss of space there, its like 1/4 the size of regular rubicons


Is that related to the pipes or something? Is it confirmed that space is now gone and we can't open that part up?

Can't remember which 392 thread it's in but another member posted pictures underneath the cargo area. The exhaust system occupies space where the other trims did not and it cut right into the under cargo area storage.

Shitty, I have a full set of mechanic's socket set and a battery jumper in that cubbyhole. That was one of my favourite location on the Jeep to store my tools.
