Mine is going in on Thursday and I’m probably getting a loaner.

I filled out a survey I was emailed about my Jeep and put in all the steering issues. Requested a call back and they promptly called me with a case number. A couple parts are supposedly going to be replaced. The rep had the dealer on a three way call and told them to make sure I had a loaner if needed as I have Jeep Wave. Last time I didn’t get one. Apparently having Jeep Wave gets you the loaner?
Let us know what they did please .

I just picked up a brand new 19 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon last Friday May 3. The steering wheel is scary above 60+mph due to loose steering and me attempting to keep the car straight on bumpy roads. I am having to move the steering left to right to keep the car centered in my lane. Most scary part is trying to pass a car at higher speeds. With the fast winds, it’s makes the car even more scary.

I just drove it 1000+ miles down to FL keys and couldn’t drive over 70mph and be comfortable with the steering. It’s Brand new from factory and unmodified.

I driven many lowered and heavy modified Hondas in my lifetime and never had this kind of steering issue ever.

It’s a great looking car and I gotten a lot of compliments. It’s nice cruisin’ around in low speeds around town but anything faster is scary. I can’t deal with the steering anymore.

I am going back to the dealership when I get back in town and see if I can return the car or exchange it.

This isn’t Walmart. You can’t just exchange or return a vehicle. Start with getting it into service and proceed with your states Lemon Law procedures.

Check your tire pressure 34 to 35 pounds. They look overinflated in picture.

I noticed that after about 2500 miles and a tire rotation, it got a lot better. A lot of this is probably the KO2 tires breaking in.

Thanks guys. I will drop the tire pressure. They are at around 42 psi. As far as returning it, it’s always worth a shot. Lol
And yeah, bfg k02, not too sure about the ride on them.

I had an 18 and now they gave me a brand new 2019 Jeep JL Sahara Unl. 4 door. Prior had the death wobble and the wandering steering, all stock and put on the brand new 18, 10,000 miles. Now with the new 2019, I have 200 miles and I have the steering wandering. Bringing it in on Fri. Gonna tell them to keep it until it's fixed.

So... you are out of a vehicle for however long while still making car payments for it? Not sure who won...

Try 32 psi. If it's still a problem, take it into the dealership and work with Jeep cares.

A tire rotation improving things could also indicate one of the tires rotated off of front was out of balance if only slightly.

No rode the 18, until they gave me a 19, but now the steering wandering is on the 19, too!

Dropping pressure will help a lot to bad you drove all the way to Keys like that. Tire pressure might have got as high a 45 pounds or above. If you have read any of this thread when you go to dealer have them re torque ball joints. Also toe in on alignment. Drive it then if still not right you can add some 2" Mopar lift lower control arms this will be out of your pocket. These items have been done to mine and is about 70 percent good or at least safe for the wife to drive. My dealer just looks back at me with a blank face and says no one else has complained of the wandering they have done everything they can. Try Jeep Cares some have had good results. I'm so frustrated with the fact that no solution has been found yet. 2019 and 2020 JL and JT are still rolling out with this problem.

I dropped of my Jeep at the dealership today, I had all the star cases printed and they ignored them. They said they would replace the LCA and steering damper (which I believe was already replaced). I told them when Jeep called me they said they were going to change out the damper and trackbar with new AE models. The tech said he would have to speak to the regional rep about the trackbar. Anyway they don’t have the damper in stock so I’m in a rental until at least Monday. The dealership is not friendly or willing to listen at all. I’m addition they said they hadn’t even heard of the star cases I printed out.
