That was wild. Talk about an “oh shiz” moment when those big rigs came thru.

That’s a lucky dude...I can’t believe it didn’t stall. I bet the air filter is wet...
He didnt stall, because he knows how to drive through high water. If he slowed down, the water would have rushed into the engine comparment, and would have been sucked into the intake.
I've a Diesel 4x4 Dodge that I have had to drive through floods before, water has gone over the hood, and I never stalled. Never slow down, but dont go too fast. Push the water.

Man, if I had a nickle for every time I was told to "never slow down but dont go too fast"...

I know, I know. It is a fine line, between too slow, and too fast. Now, if you are in a modern car, anything deeper than 2-3 inches could possibly flood you out.

I owned a 2018 JKUR Recon just like that one.

Of all the great Jeep Wranglers I‘ve owned over the years, that one was one overpriced, overrated POS.

First Winter I worked in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia they had unusually high amounts of rain - and the storm drains could not handle it. Driving a Chevy Cavalier - water about 6 inches or so above the bottom of the door - just plow your way through and don't stop. Going to fast will not cause water to suck up into the engine bay, but does cause quite a splash, and might actually cause you to hydroplane 'float'.

He got lucky, either of those big waves when he met the trucks had the ability to stall it out. I agree with the earlier comment, no way that filter isn't wet.

Yes, Proof positive..The speed you travel creates a burst of water ahead of you that never makes it into engine compart
