So I changed my bulbs to LEDs so the housing is still the stock halogen housing, are there any bumpers with winches that I can change the bulbs on the fog lights to LEDs or do I need to modify the bumper, I was told that I can not buy a bumper that comes with LEDs because the housing is different which I understand but I do not what to buy a halogen bumper and not be able to have LEDs because my headlights have LED bulbs. What would I need to do ?

I'm sorry, but this is hard to follow. First, bumpers don't come with the fog lights. If I understand correctly, you're wanting to buy an aftermarket front bumper that will work with your halogen fog light housing, so you can run your LED bulbs. Correct or no?

I know LOD bumpers work with both the factory stock halogen fig lights AND the factory LED fog lights from both the plastic and steel bumper, if you buy their adapter.

@spurly is correct. I have the LoD Destroyer up front & it's designed to fit the stock fogs. If you currently have a steel bumper, you'll need their mount kit which runs $40. I replaced a plastic bumper, so no bracket was needed. I replaced the stock fogs with Baja's SP's & they fit just fine.

This is only my example...there are other bumpers equally capable of supporting both stock and aftermarket fogs.

You shouldn't have to modify a bumper for this, unless you really like a bumper that doesn't fit the stocks & you want both.

There are number of bumpers that you can install you factory halogen fog light housing. It does not matter if you have a LED or halogen bulbs. LOD, DV8, or Smittybilt come to mind. They also come with a winch plate or the the winch can be installed on the bumper itself.

I wasn’t sure if I needed to buy other fog lights or I could use mine, but the guy at extreme terrain said that there’s no bumper that I can get that can be LED for me because I have the halogen housing which is why I was very confused

Thank you, sorry if I sounded dumb, I’m new to this forum stuff and wrangler life, I always thought you use your fog lights, so when the guy told me different I gave up looking because I didn’t want to purchase something and it not work.

I couldn't say for sure whether ET is correct, but I wouldn't take what they say at face value. Have you combed through here for a bumper that fits your needs?

Thank you so much ! Going to take a look now :like:
Glad to be of help. My advice... try to avoid ordering from ET. Several of us, including me, have had shipping-related damage to bumpers ordered from them. They're not packaged appropriately & they bounce around. If they have something you like, you may be better off going elsewhere, or straight to the manufacturer. Many are forum sponsors that offer a discount to forum members. It helps with a large piece of expensive steel.

The list is exhausting, but I'm sure you'll find something there. You'll also find pics of our rigs with the bumpers & we'll tell you anything you want to know about them. Happy bumping, & May The Force be with you.

Oh perfect ! Thank you for telling me that, I’ve been looking for so long and so confused since the guy told me that I was ready to give up honestly, but I figured I’d join and start reading up on it here and ask for advice, I found a few I really like, thank you so much again :handsinair:
