That looks sexy. Eventually I would love to get a lift. Right now I’m just looking for a quick fix for better traction for driving back roads trails etc for hunting. I would love to have a lift and 35’s but I think that will definitely have to wait till next year.Mike,
I know you're asking for help on selecting 33's but have you considered anything larger? A lift would certainly be needed for anything larger than 33s. However, it sounds like you don't want a lift at all.
Even with sticking to 33s, a lift is a pretty good investment especially if you intend to off-road it. No clearance or rubbing issues then. It makes your Jeep much more capable and in my very humble opinion way more attractive.
I have no intention of changing your vision of what your JL should look like or how you want to drive it. I'm just providing you with options for larger tires.
Since I invested in the Mopar 2.5" lift, (dealership installed so as not to void any powertrain warranty) my 2019 2 door Sport S 3.6L auto can now go almost anywhere I care to point it. At least I can off-road better than 90 something percent of where Rubicon's can go. No lockers on the Sport of course but with the Brake Lock Differential (BLD) functionality, I find that I can and have, accomplished many difficult to severe trails here in my home state of Colorado.
I went as big as the standard 3.45 gears and the 8 speed auto would easily accommodate. 35s along with a Sway-Bar quick disconnect kit. Here are my before and after pics (just food for thought):
A spacer lift is all of $200 if you can install it yourself (or have a buddy who can). That looks sexy. Eventually I would love to get a lift. I thought about one never ordered those parts online before I don’t even know where to start for which one is a good quality I’m not objected to that. If I put a spacer lift that should be good for 33 and 35’s? Or just 33’s ?A spacer lift is all of $200 if you can install it yourself (or have a buddy who can).
Should be good for 35s. Not sure if you can run 12.50s on the shorter axles with stock offset, hopefully someone can chime in with confirmation there.I thought about one never ordered those parts online before I don’t even know where to start for which one is a good quality I’m not objected to that.
