Looking for way to mount Marine Speakers

I'd like to mount marine speakers (something like these) during the summer when the top is off. Every mounting kit I've found has a note indicating "JLU only" (naturally).

Has anyone found either a kit or a DIY method for mounting marine speakers in a 2dr JL? If I go the DIY route, I'll probably use the points where the rear seat belts connected on the roll bar (my rear seat- and belts- have been removed... will put them back someday before trade-in).

Why wouldn’t these work? It says 4 door, but they appear to mount where the soft top hinges would be. Are those mounting locations different on the 2 door?

I have wondered the same thing (I sent SSV an email asking if there is any reason they wouldn't work on a 2 door- haven't received a response- I need to give them a call).

To remove the hard top, you need to undo 3 bolts on each side. You may be able to use these to bolt your speakers.
