I have a Strongway from Northern Tools and an old Craftsman. Both function equally well. Hydraulic jacks are stupidly simple, even cheap ones are good enough for home garage use. Having 2 makes rotating tires quick and easy.

Harbor Freight Low Profile/Long Reach 3 Ton has served me well.
This is what I am looking at as my Craftsman from ages ago leaks down and has a poor reach. Only wish I had purchased years back as the prices have gone up significantly compared to old coupon prices. The long reach has a 24" lift height, slightly more than the Super Duty version.

Curious as to why one poster said these do not have a warranty? The Daytona jacks typically have at least a 2 year warranty.

I have the super duty daytona from harbor freight and love it, bonus points that it matches hellayella quite nicely.

It weighs over 100 lbs and is an absolute tank. Handles the Jeep with no problem whatsoever. I have seen this exact jack in daily use at many tire shops, I figure if it's holding up to that daily abuse then it's probably a BIFL item for me with home use.

Old thread, but I'm looking for a floor jack now. I was at HF today and almost bought one of the Daytona jacks. After reading this thread, I started looking closer at the warranties. Not all Daytona jacks have a 2 year warranty, some only have a 90 day warranty. I guess I'm spending more than I expected or picking a different brand.

For what it's worth, my relatively cheap Blackjack from Walmart lasted 10+ years with occasional use. It recently started leaking oil, and I guess a bad seal is not holding the refill. But it's possible I just run to Walmart to pick up a new one. I'm probably making this decision more complicated than it needs to be.

FWIW - Here's one data point... My Daytona jack (orange) from HF is 3 years old. No problems so far.

Maybe just get new o-ring and fix your Walmart jack?
