Well, I have the suspension finished but it now has even less weight as I took off the stock spare. Bumper is ordered and CavFab tire carrier is at the powder coater and I threw everything from 80 mph freeway to 35 mph hilly and curvy backroads and I’m not enjoying the front springs. It feels like a 3/4 ton suspension up front with 1/2 ton springs in the back. I thought about waiting until it’s completely finished to make up my mind but when I set my 275 pound ass on the front bumper, I only compress the front end 1/4 to 3/8 inch. When I stand on the hitch, I compress it 3/4 to 7/8”. I ordered MetalCloak front dual rate springs to try and see if I get a better ride.
appreciate the update. have a line on some very well priced clayton's like you are running but I may keep looking.

@zw470 Nice setup. What kind of rock sliders do you have? Are they bolt on the frame? Looking for some 😃

They mount using the same locations as the factory Rubicon rock rails. I'm sure some people require something more robust, but for my use (mild off-roading, usable steps for the kids) they seemed perfect. Plus they're aluminum, so they're actually lighter than the factory Rubicon rock rails and they should hold up better here in the salt belt.

looks awesome. congrats. what suspension setup are you running?
Thanks! It's teraflex ct3 with falcon 3.3 shocks. Nemisis inner fenders with fenders chopped for more clearance. Trying to keep it as low as possible with stock wheelbase and a 40.

Stock axles 🥳
Genuinely curious to see how they do with a rig that gets wheeled and 40s. Thought's crossed my mind more than once to see if I can get away with it...
