I got a chance to spend some time with a new Jeep Wrangler high-altitude yesterday and found quite a few things on it that nobody’s ever heard of or talking about.

-Dana 44 wide-trac axles with 3.73 gearing identical to those on a Max Tow JT

-High altitude specific fender flares (taller than sport and Sahara and shorter than Rubicon)

-Gladiator rear big brakes

-Select trac T-case

I think the JT Max Tow has 4.10 gearing.

The High Altitude is nice, I saw one at a dealership here in Vegas...20" factory wheels too

edit: Should've color matched the rear window hinges and hood hinges...Would've been a nice touch

Your right JT max tow is 4.10 but these are JT axle housings with high altitude specific 3.73 gearing

It's a pretty sweet set up...I just don't know if I would be comfortable taking it on some serious trails...My fender flares, and bumpers are all scratched up from rocks and what not. They're probably the most Boujee Jeep you can get. Which is cool, there's a Jeep for everyone!

So what is different about the "JT" axles other than being wide track? What is different from them and JLR axles?

Also, how are Gladiator big brakes different from JL big brakes? They did the rear with big brakes but not the front? Sounds odd.

Nice looking Jeep, but the 20's aren't my cup of tea. Still nice, though!

They are heavier duty axles compared to Rubicon

So what gives that away? What is their Dana designation? M230 or something like that?

I ask because the Gladiator has an entirely different rear suspension, so it would make no economic sense to adapt them to a Wrangler that was not in some other way modified for heavier duty, when they simply could have used M210 and M220 housings. Just curious.

Adding larger brakes in the rear while leaving the fronts standard also makes no sense, unless there is some other objective of which we're unaware.

I don’t desire to offend anyone but that vehicle with white painted everything should just have a sign on the side that says “ACME Ambulance Company”.

I like white (kinda obvious) but holy cow........

somebody will love it though and she is probably studying to be a paramedic.

All Saharas and Rubicon’s have big brakes in the front anyway but the gladiator rear brakes are much bigger than anything that’s ever been put on a wrangler
