I sent out an inquiry about an aux tank for the 392. Khris Korell (LRA) responded back saying the aux tank would have to be redesigned and most likely be the summer of 22 before its available.

That's ok, I'll wait. Just glad to hear it's in the works. Did they say the capacity?

No capacity was mentioned. I would hope it would be at least 17 gallons. Needs to justify the cost of the tank and install along with usability.

Definitely want it, I will drive out of CA to get it. Just wondering is aftermarket exhaust required?

Typically you don't with their systems, yeah this is going to be a MUST do mod for me when it comes out.

Definitely. The range is horrible. Barely over 300 miles doing reasonable speed on freeway, but only 200 or less in town, and even less in trails.

Yeah I can only imagine, I used to ride motorcycles and if you could get over 130 miles to a tank you were stretching it. 300 is not bad, but 500 is AWESOME!

This will probably be one of the final upgrades for me and luckily it’s not coming out for what sounds like a year so it gives me time to recoup some of the costs. Are we talking about 500 miles possibly?

If it makes you feel any better, that’s roughly what I get in my 3.6L, 2 door rubicon in terms of range. I averaged 17.8 mpg over 34,000 miles. And with a 17.5 gallon tank, I usually fill up when there’s 2.5 gallons left in the tank so roughly 267 mile range.

Yeah typically that's what their tanks are getting for range (your mileage may vary :CWL:)

I love the idea of this, but I think about added weight with full tank, skid compatibility, new clearance limitations, etc. I suppose if I was overlanding Australia I’d be all over this …but for weekend wheeling…not sure it makes sense? What do you think?

I'm just looking for longer time between fill ups over all. I'll be lifting it even though its a Rubicon XR 392 so I'm not worried about the squatting.
