Old forum, but I found it relevant. I have the JCR installed with Shield instead of bigger Adventure carrier; it still holds a Rotopax but it's on the driver's side of the spare. Anyway, I too am having issues with my sensors picking up my spare, I think. I moved it as high as it can go, and even tried it with the spare off & out of the garage - not quite sure what's up. So, I'm thinking maybe I have one or more crooked (had to glue them in there due to a different design on Rubicon plastic bumper...may fix that later with the other style OEM mounts IF they fit) and/or it's impacted by the license plate wire that I extended a long ways to light up on the plate relocate on the spare. I'm also not a super fan of the JCR license plate setup - a bit of a pain and have been modifying with disconnects and stainless wing nuts, but still hard to line up the spare quickly when putting it on. Yes, my passing-behind sensors still work with the rear parking sensors off.
I really like the LOD too, just longer lead times on that, looked a little heavier, and so many options I was worried about total cost & picking all the right stuff (was a noob then).
