Now that I have studied the photo a little bit, they won't interfere in the front. Just keep in mind that if you change the tab on the sliders, they will not sit parallel to the bottom of the Jeep, and that would look bad. I'm thinking that you could mount the sliders first then put the skids on top without too much fuss. Definitely more coverage with the Rock Hard skids btw.
Yeah, I was thinking bending the LOD slider tabs at the crease enough to get the belly pan underneath. I would then have to hammer the LOD tabs back down flat over top of the belly pan. Not sure how feasible that is.

So this is what I am going to try this weekend:
  • Completely cut through the metal at line (1) in pic.
  • Grind the metal thin along line (2) in pic. This will allow me to bend the metal back enough to slide the belly pan underneath.
  • Grind the metal thin along line (3) in pic. This will allow me to hammer the LOD bracket flat to the belly pan.
  • Take off the slider, weld up the ground down areas, paint and reinstall.

I'll basically do the same thing for the one other LOD mounting point.

Would that make weak points and cause potential integrity issues?

I don’t think so. I am going to fill those cuts up with weld so it should be just as strong as ever.

Got this from Northridge who has installed both. They didn’t modify the slider just added a spacer in the body mount.

I thought about that but if you look at my pics you will notice that the two bolts used in the body mount are already flush. If I put spacers in the body mount I would need longer bolts. I think the bolts that are there are welded in place.

I’ve got LoD sliders with the RH 4x4 bellypan system. The only spot where I had issues was the very front slider mounting point. To remedy the issue I clearanced the belly pan around that area. Probably a little more that I need to, however it works for me.

The Artec belly pan is on! I just need to weld up the cuts to the passenger LOD slider.

The first issue I came across was the gas tank strap. You are supposed to install one of the bolts only a few threads in. The gas tank skid is slotted so that it can slide over the strap and beside the bolt. The problem is you later have to remove that bolt to install the LOD slider. Pull that bolt out and "sprong!" the gas tank strap relaxes and you will never get that bolt back in.

Here is my first thought to resolve that (later I just abandoned that strap altogether):

Here is the LOD slider that I cut with a hand held grinder. I then bent it into position. Notice that the aluminum covers part of the nut.

Here it is after I ground the aluminum away:

Here are a few pics of the Passenger LOD slider ready for welding:

Do you have any pics? Thinking of going with the same setup.

Looks like they are doing their job. Any issues with the install?
Aside from the initial “How the hell am I going to make this work!” It wasn’t to bad.
