Sorry I have been out all week. I would encourage anyone having issues to contact our support.

Not to make excuses, but we have noticed this as well, seems we have seen a few more than normal being too close to the body. Every slider we get back has been checked on our fixtures and they fit perfectly. so not sure whats up. These sliders were designed to have about a 3/4inch gap between the slider and body. we have also noticed that the JL has a LOT of body roll on the frame! We have seen videos were the sliders and the tires were stationary and the body rolled into the slider!

We are currently working on redesigned mounts to accommodate some of this but that will be a bit before available.

Sorry won't be able to help out much more until Monday.

I am really bummed as the lod destroyer sliders have cause quite a bit of damage to the underside of my vehicle. I don’t get in the rocks really and just do moderate trails but the way they manufactured the sliders was only about 3/16ā€ of a gap spacing between body and slider at the front compared to 1ā€ spacing in the rear. I received No damage to the rear side of the rocker panel areas but at the front it took out 4 panels (both fenders and the mini rocker panels next to them in bottom).

I’ve been calling lod to try to Atleast get a replacement set or maybe get the signature series sliders since they have more of a gap. The seem to be putting me in the back burner and it seems there is nothing I can do. I have been waiting so long and missing all the runs lately. My jeep is brand new and while some damage is expected , the reason why I bought the sliders was to protect that very area. I think I spent 900$ and would hate to have to buy another pair outright. I did drill holes in the frame for more support so I would like to utilize those hole and not have them there for no reason.

Is there anyone who works for lod on this forum who can listen to what I’m saying and help me please. This has been a nightmare. Can’t seem to get through to to anyone who can help by phone or email. I’ve left info with your front desk staff.
Have been in contact since November by email and by many phone calls. Please keep in mind this is a new jeep not old and beat up.

I have the same LOD sliders on my Jeep. Mine is really close on the front also. I still need to add the washers to the front to push the front of the sliders out away from the body. I am also running the bushwacker rocker guards. They run the whole length of the jeep. I do not have a real good close up picture but you can zoom in the picture you should see what I am talking about.

Me too, I was about to order them today until I saw this. Does anyone know of other steps like the LOD destroyers that we should be looking at?

Yikes...I just ordered these for my 22 JLUR that I am also waiting for...hummmn...I ordered them now because my dealer told me they were having issues getting the factory sliders. (I ordered my Rub on l2/07) ...I hate to cancel this LOD order because they seem like a good product...what to do , what to do...

Hopefully they haven't shipped yet so I can cancel them for now. Will call Quadratec on Monday. I am bummed because they look great.

I haven't experienced any issues with mine and I've had them for 3 years and moderate offroad use. So were they installed correctly?

I am certainly interested in hearing the answer to this (were they installed w/ the extra optional frame bolts?) ...I really like these sliders and would prefer to keep the order...It almost sounded like this is an ongoing problem with these but I cannot find any other threads referring to damage such as this...

I'm not sure how the OP has theirs on, but mine are definitely attached to the frame as suggested.

Yes it appears the sig series are better overall from people on the forums and yes I installed with the front frame mounted bolts that go all the way through the frame. I did drill for passenger side. Drivers side JL has hole already.
