Nope I do not have the hardtop, although I am looking to buy a used hardtop to switch. With the premium soft top, which is the one you have, after installation the top would flap during highway speeds, which is quite annoying. Not really a fault of the rack, moreso of the top itself, as the fabric is very soft and easy to flap. I used two bars and attached it to the lower bar of the basket, and wrapped foam piping insulation on it to hold down the top to keep it from flapping up and down, which helped kill like 70% of the flapping. Keep in mind this is with empty rack. Once I put my Roam box and RTT up there, the flapping was completely gone as those two items prevent wind from hitting the top. It's just if the wind is bad and going against wind then the wind noise is kind of high.

In terms of support between bars, under the RTT there is nothing in between the bars. I do know of another who used LOD's aluminum plate under the RTT, but it isn't needed. I have one aluminum plate up front to hold my Roam box. Hope this helps!
Hi, I hope you will respond... Was the flapping also creating any unecessary rub between the top and the rack? This is my biggest cincern...

thx!

Nope no damage from rubbing between the top and the rack at all. And after I put my tent on the rack the flapping actually was pretty much gone.

Thank you! My Jeep is a lease, and although I'm willing to spend the money on the rack and lose some $ when I resell it used, I would like to avoid to change the soft top too...

Just mounted the waterport weekender on the rack. I have the CVT Mt. Hood RTT, and decided to squeeze the weekender in front of the tent (it barely fits). As I decided to do this after mounting my tent, it was quite hard mounting it without taking the tent fully off. I used the aluminum panels from LOD, but with the way I mounted them, I had to cut off three of the tabs of each panel and drill 3 new holes to put the bolt through to mount them to the crossbar. I had to do that because on one side I mounted it to the front end of the basket instead of a separate crossbar. Because of that and the positioning of the rear crossbar, if I didn't cut off the tabs the panel wouldn't fit.

Another tough part was actually mounting the weekender itself. The bracket that it comes with, I mounted it onto the tank the way it's supposed to, but that wouldn't fit in the small space. So I had to turn it sideways, and that works, but then I needed to go to the hardware store again to get new bolts. Tightening it also was really hard with the limited space available. But boy it looks pretty sweet.

Well it took a couple of months to get delivered but it’s on the Jeep now. The iKamper Mini comes in next week. So far I have nothing but good things to say about the Destroyer Rack.

Does anyone have a top lift pro hard top removal with the sliding rack/base rack?
I just got my sliding rack installed. I will be testing my toplift pro this weekend if it doesn’t not rain. Will let you know.

Superb! Just awkward for me seeing it open on driver side lol.

I think only part I didn’t like was cutting the taillight housing part lol

Yeah kinda some hold your breath moments I’m sure. My iKamper Mini extends out on passenger side. I plan on putting a 4K 270 awning on the driver side though. Will be interesting extending the awning out while rack is slid out too lol.

That looks awesome - agreed, that'll be interesting with a 270 degree awning. I've been waiting over two months for mine to arrive.

Roof rack is sitting on the pallet - won't be able to install for a couple of months until I'm fully healed.

woo - greatly appreciate it.
Yes you can take the hard top off using your TopLift Pro if you have the LoD rack on. However you have to take off the the inner part of the corner posts on each side which have 6 bolts each. Adds about an extra 10 minutes to take top off. See pictures for reference. Hope that helps.

Seriously considering selling my LOD sliding rack as my Jeep is moving towards the around town family / fun mobile instead of long road trip use. With kids and three dogs it's a little tight even with the rack.

I have the sliding rack with cross bars and wind deflector. I'd like to sell it locally at least partially assembled - Do you guys have any guesstimates as to what I should price it at?

Thanks.
