Guess this is just a rant, but we have been towing a Grand cherokee for the longest time, but we are planning a trip to Moab, so I decided to set my wrangler up to take it. Found exactly what I wanted, an LOD bumper. They are very nice and easy to talk to, I had a lot of questions and wanted to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. We were on the road all spring, so I knew I would have to order it when I got home so that it would be ready for our September trip. I asked what the turn around was, and was told 4-6 weeks. So I order it in June. We were going out of town for a short trip in June, so I called to see when it would be done, since I did not want it delivered while we were out of town. So on July 17 they say they just finished welding them, and would head out for powder coating that week. No problem, we would be home well before it arrives. Now it is mid August, and still no bumpers. So I call and I am told they are just finishing up welding, and should go out to powder coating next Monday. We have all our reservations starting on the 2nd of September, so now we are cutting it real close. Everything I have read, people are very happy with the product, but if they don't get them here on time, I will have to take the Grand Cherokee, which means only about 10% of the off roading we were planning. In fact, I don't know if I really want to go if I can't go to all the places that I had planned. We spent the summer here at home since we had such a big trip planned for September and October, and now I am not sure we will make it. I know I can cancel all my reservations, and then reschedule for when the bumper arrives, but getting reservations in Moab in September can be hard. It is their biggest month for tourism, since the weather starts to cool down. Not real happy with them right now. If all works out, when I give them a review of the product, I will forget about the delay of it arriving. But if I have to change or cancel my trip, I will have a hard time saying much good about their process. I will give the product an honest review, but I will sure mention the lack of honesty in the correspondence. Rant over, now I will just keep my fingers crossed.
