Locking rear seats

Does anyone know of a way to lock the rear seats so they don’t fold down? I used to have an SUV that I could use my key and it would lock my seats in the upright position and would disable the handle to fold them down.
I’ve done some research and haven’t found anything yet.

I'm not aware of any type of lock.

You can try using a strong bungie cord and hooking one end to the child seat tether anchor on the back of each seat, and the other end to one of the tie down hooks on the back floor. This should prevent the seat/s from being pulled down.

Thanks for the idea. I did think of that but I was trying to think of a more secure way. I was hoping there is some type of obscure hack someone may have done.

Why are you trying to do this? Stop kids from lowering or something?

Look under the seat, as long as this doesn’t depress the seat will not unlock.

So get something to put under it like a window lock, small C clamp, etc… be creative….. maybe something like this…..

You should see the mounts behind my seats. (This might be 4xe only, but I would assume something mounts in that area in gas models.) I would mount a footlocker right to them with L brackets, like I did for a 3rd row beach seat...

This works, just tested it, curiosity was killing me, lol, just a simple window lock with a thumb screw…….
