This is the OEM Mopar one that can be keyed to use your Jeep key so you don’t have to carry around an extra key.

And don’t be intimidated by keying the lock. It sounds complicated at first but if you follow this video it’s easy.

When you get the cap in, make sure the part number matches what the listing on Amazon says.

Hi Friends:

Might any of you be able to point me in the direction of where I can find a locking fuel door or gas cap for the 2021 JLU? I cannot find one to fit the 2021 ANYWHERE and my brand new (one week old) Wrangler will always be street parked. No snarky remarks needed here - just true friendly advice or information. Thanks, all.

It is made by JeCar, but I believe they are the supplier for the OEM Mopar non-locking fuel door. They are virtually identical, except for the lock cylinder of course. I installed one on my JL.

Thank you. To confirm, is your JL a 2021? I had purchased a nice one to try. It was listed as being for 2018-2020 and unfortunately did not fit. Upon closer inspection after it wouldn’t clip/fit flush against the body, I noticed the clips were shorter than on the stock cap surround. It was close - but not close enough to leave it on. I ended up returning it.

My JL is a 2021, but since it is a diesel, I used only the door from the above link, not the entire assembly. So I can not confirm the 2018 - 2020 fuel door assembly listed in my above link will fit your 2021, but I would think so. The first fuel door sent to me from Amazon was for a JK so I had to return it and reorder to the the correct JL fuel door.

However, I did find another link on Amazon that list fitment for a 2018 - 2021 JL locking fuel door.

Yes I have this Mopar 82215184 Jeep Wrangler Locking Gas Cap https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BQG4JHZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_2OeXFbBNBG2KR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 as well.. I like it can key it to the Jeep key as I do not carry keys well. Locksmith can key it for you $30 or if your brother in law $55.
