Yes because constantly turning your steering wheel is so much less effort than just pushing the disable button... This guy seems desperate for views.
It took me all of 5s to disconnect the secondary hood sensor like he showed. I've been running without it for months, and my Jeep acts like a normal vehicle now.

Jeep isn't doing this to save us money. They're doing it to get their fleet numbers acceptable to the EPA. It's a stupid feature and owners should be able to permanently opt out (without disconnecting things), but whatevs.

Another option is to get the new tazer, which has a setting to effectively push the button after every start, but it's not worth $300 to me.
