Another idea someone else on the forum came up with is to cut foam and sandwich it between a mesh sunshade and the hard top. It’s easy, not permanent, and the sunshade is nice when the top is off. I used those interlocking foam squares you might use in a home gym or playroom. Haven’t trimmed them yet to fit perfectly but will eventually . Another side benefit is it reduces road noise.

Do you have a template you use? It would be nice to save a few dollars.
I did the front panels today.. sorry about the random pics, posting this was an afterthought. Otherwise I would have more relevant pics. 3M spray adhesive was used to hold the styrofoam board to the reflective barrier and headliner.. the pins were just to hold the headliner in place before I glued it. All of that was secured to the top using 3M vhb double sided tape. Here's a link to a similar JK DIY project...
