Living the Palindrome Life - “JL + LJ”

I LOVE my Ocean Blue JLUR and have zero intention of getting rid of it. However, the only Jeep model I haven’t owned since 1980’s is the TJ/LJ era Wrangler. I‘ve searched off and on unsuccessfully for years. This week, I found my forever LJ - 2005 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Sahara Edition, 45k miles, pristine inside and out.

Needless to say, I’m pumped to park my LJ next to my JL!

I’m picky (too picky) - one match-sized bit of surface rust not visible and under the hood on the driver side fender which has been sealed to prevent further damage, and 1 cm seam surface rust where the window meets the door frame on the driver side full door. I plan on getting these repaired, painted, and sealed this week.

Zero rust on remainder of body. Zero rust on floorboards (which look brand new). Very minimal southern-style rust on frame and undercarriage. I’ve walked away from several great opportunities because of minimal rust. I couldn’t walk away from this one when I saw it live!

Manual our automatic transmission?

Automatic. I would’ve preferred manual just to keep with the throwback feel and fun, but I wasn’t going to walk away from this because of auto transmission.

It is, super rare promotional LJ for a movie back in the 2000s. They're numbered and limited to 1000 if I remember. Back in 2013 I almost traded my TJ in for one.
