I miss the old days when you lost your key it coast $1.20 to have a new one cut. I wish there was a way to combine the old with the new.

My wife lost the spare key to my JK so I went in and had one cut. I was puzzled when the jeep would start but only run for a few seconds. Thats how I learned about the chip. They wanted $160 to replace the key and program the chip. Luckily she found it in her coat pocket later on.

How much does it coast to replace a FOB?

Could y’all post pictures of the different themes please? That’s the one thing I keep seeing mentioned but haven’t seen.
For those looking for pics of the themes... I just went out and took a few pics... the themes are subtle changes in the interface... colors, fonts, menu buttons... while it’s difficult to see in the pictures, there is a “ghost” image in the background that changes with each theme also...

The one thing I’m going to miss about not having the physical key is that I used to be able to leave my keys in the under seat safe on my JK when I was somewhere it would be a bad idea to carry them around.

I suppose I could still do the same if I removed the battery, but then I lose power door locks when I don’t have my doors off.

Hmmm... faraday cage vault maybe??

You can also wrap in aluminum foil or buy a bag made specifically for that purpose

Best Buy is getting rid of their CD departments! Old obsolete Tech!
Interestingly, vinyl records are making a comeback. And it’s not just hipsters buying them. My 15 year old was given a 1978 Technics turntable by his guitar teacher, and he loves the thing. I mean, he still streams Spotify to his head unit a lot, but he loves collecting, and listening to, records. There’s a whole ritual to taking out a record; it’s very deliberate. No shuffling of songs, no walking away and ignoring the music. It’s pretty fun for me to witness a kid enjoying old school music on a 2 channel setup.

Total non sequitur, sorry!

Yes, CDs are dead and good riddance.

hey, that's not a bad ground clearance... and i kinda dig the rims.
It's a 2-door convertible with built in steps, fog lights come standard, and I believe so do leather seats.

Here's something I would like someone to verify for me, since I'm not totally sure. I'm pretty sure that my previous Wranglers all would do the wiper "mist" option by pulling down on the right hand lever. This new one you have to push it up for mist. Just doesn't feel right to me. Glad I didn't press down harder and snap the sucker off!

Yes, it’s push up for mist swipe. Not sure why they changed it...

Interesting. For me, coming from a Toyota for the last 12 years, and 3 of them, this is second nature. That's how Toyota's work. I didn't realize Jeep was the opposite.

I noticed the turn signals don't do that stupid thing where you push it once and it blinks 1-3x. These things you hold it down it blinks, the second you let it go it stops. I love this and completely caught me by surprise. Combine with the solid feel of the stubby stalks it's awesome.
