Ok bit of a story here....back in January the GF's jeep died and I wen thru learning about the AUX battery and I attempted to change it. In doing so I bent one particular Pin and the jeep would do ALMOST NOTHING.....I wound up charging the AUX battery and NOT replacing it, and examined each pin carefully and discovered the culprit (one single pin) and ever so gently bent it back into alignment and we were good to go.
Three weeks ago it mimics a similar dead-ish battery situation and she has it towed a dealer who sits on it for 2 weeks and then moves it to a local shop who diagnoses the battery and puts a new one in. Its important to note that it was trying to start and just didnt have the juice......NOT the total shutdown when I bent the pin.
Last Friday the Jeep is dead again and goes back to local shop. He works on it a few days and says its a broken pin in the Power distribution box, but wont say if he went in that way to replace the battery. *he actually said a bad "circuit board" (is there even a circuit board?) on the phone from what I heard....mentioned bad ground as well.
He wants to replace the Power Distribution box now....
Lots of guilt here and some friction......my question is this....how can I tell if he went in the thru the top or went via the fender flare? I have ideas but want to put it to the crowd. Y'all were super helpful when I was outside working on this thing in the snow in January....
