Hello all,

My USB 2 port stopped working earlier and when I started to fiddle with it, it eventually began working again, I noticed that all the lights around my USB ports and lighter ports don't seem to be lighting up. I tried turning the headlights on/off, checking the dash dimmers up/down, and the interior light dimmers up/down but none of that seems to do anything. I looked for a setting somewhere but didn't see.

Is there any any specific fuse for this? or has anyone see anything like this before? Thinking of just making a dealer appointment but thought I would try here first.

Thanks!

If someone could also share a picture of how their USB ports look when the car is on that might be helpful as well so I can show to dealer if I end up needing to bring it in. Thanks!

So last night, a few hours after I posted this, all the lights and the USB ports are working. There must bee a loose connection somewhere so I will eventually be bringing it into the dealership.

no, mine do the same... about 60% of the time when i plug into the USB port (in center console area and dash area) the port works and charges the phone as well as activating apple play however randomly about 40% of the time it doesnt and the lights around the device dont work nor does it charge the phone or activate apple play. it is irritating as heck

Did you ever figure out why this was happening?

It may be a fuse. Do a search in your digital manual for USB Fuse. There are two or three different fuses for the USB ports.

In my manual I found:

F11 – 10 Amp Red - UCI Port (USB & AUX); Universal Consumer Interface (UCI), also used for software updates
F51– 10 Amp Red - Digital TV (DSRC)/USB/InSide RearView Mirror (ISRVM)/ Compass Module (CSGM)
F102 – 15 Amp Blue - DUAL USB PORT
