Light for the charging port

Many times find myself coming home at night and trying to plug in the charger and have a hard time sticking it in the hole (that's what she said). But seriously, its a pain and I have to pull out my phone for the flashlight just to get it in right. Made me think how awesome it would be if when I opened the charge door, a light came on. I'm sure there is something easy to buy that I can just install. Any one else having this problem?

Could you use a small adhesive light on the charger handle?

I agree about there being a light on the charge port.

I have to plug in … in the dark and was thinking it’d be great if there was a light that came on for a period of time after I open the charge port door.

I wouldn’t want the light on all of the time, it’s not necessary and may attract attention to the nice big copper lines running to my Jeep.

So if @JeepCares is watching… put a light on the charge port, I’d appreciate it, I’m sure others will too.

I am lucky to have a garage my 4xe fits in, so I extended the amount of time the headlights stay on after key off to 60sec. That provides enough ambient light from the reflection that I can see enough to plug in.

I also agree that a light in the charge port would be a nice addition.

Does it come on automatically when you open the charging door? The description makes it sound like you have to switch it on manually, which seems like it just shifts the darkness problem to not being able to see the switch.

Lol yeah but it's easier to just feel the switch with your finger in the dark,than to align the plug into the hole (there's another that's what she said in there)

So yes,have to hit the switch but have zero problem with that in dark.

For $10 for a pack of six this is an absolute life saver at dark
