I promise I just spent the last 30 minutes trying to search but came up with nothing. While I have a 21 JTRD, I can’t help my buddy with some technical answers on what he needs. He has a 2018 JLU sport S and is wanting to put 35’s on it. What size lift can he get away with and any photos would be helpful.

I have a JL Sport S, but the same logic will apply. I went with a Rock Krawler 2.5” Flex System Kit to fit my BFG 315/70/17s on Method 703s (0mm offset, 17x8.5”).

This setup has been perfect for me and has been super capable off-road. Hope this helps!

2.5" lift + 315/70R17 Ko2's. My winch and bumper dropped the front about 3/4" otherwise I was really happy with it and the wheels don't stick out the fenders and no need for wheel spacers.

I would agree. But don’t put Rubicon fenders on because then he will have to go with 37s lol

Update…

My buddy scored on Rubicon take-offs…kind of.

He got all high-line fenders and fender liners with LED’s and the complete Rubi suspension for 650. Also found an electronic disconnecting anti-sway bar for 240.

The issue with the lift is that it was for a Diesel Rubi. Kind of wondering what will happen with that. I do know the front springs on my JTRD are under spring in my opinion so I’m hoping the extra weight of his steel bumper and winch won’t make it too nose high. Anyone put diesel springs in the front of there 3.6 sport???

He’s trying to keep it looking stock’ish. He wants JL or JT Rubi wheels and run 35x11.5r17’s. We took the wheels off of my JTRD and put them on his on Saturday and it looked good. My concern was that he has the narrow axle not the full width axles. I’m trying to figure out how much of a spacer he’ll need to keep the 35s from rubbing.

Which 2.5 lift did you use? I have a similar setup with the rubicon wheels, but wanting to add 315/70R17 Ko2. I have a Teraflex 1.5 spacer lift on order because I want to wear my 285/70R17 out first, and I think too much lift with 33s is not a good look. Don't want to be too snug when I go to 35s, though. Do your tires rub at all without spacers?
