This is what my Sahara looked like with a Mopar 2-inch lift and 33-inch tires. It looked terrible!

This is what it looks like now with 35-inch tires

If you don’t want to replace tires yet, I’d say hold off doing the lift.
These are great comparisons shots that I think will help a lot of people make a decision. Personally I think the Sport/Sahara fenders look good with a 33 + Mopar lift. 35s look great too. But these pics should help others decide where they stand.

Sport S, 33” BFG K02s, Teraflex spacers 1.5” rear, 1” front. Totally happy

Looks great, almost exactly my plan. Getting the 4 door variant of those spacers since they're 2in front, 1.5 rear, but getting a .5 spacer so its 2in front and back. I like my current rake and didnt want to mess with it.

Strongly regret not getting tinted soft top windows from the factory, that summer sun comes in hot at my kiddo in the back. Surprisingly pricey to replace just the panels!

My 2019 Sahara has BFG KO2's 33's wit the Tearflex 1.5 spacer kit. It has 2.0 front to remove factory rake which it did and 1.5 rear to even out.

I just installed a rubicon suspension on my sport, spring numbers 60/61, 90/91. Added 3/4 spacers and I like the look, i have 285/70 Falkens but have a new set of 285/75 Toyos going on next week. No good pictures but I will snap a few tm.
Very curious what this setup will look like with the 285/75s.

Mickey Thompson baja atz p3 on RC 2.5 inch spacer lift (on top). Same tires with the Metal Cloak 2.5 inch lift (bottom). Looked good to me on the RC lift, and silly with the MC. I quickly got some 35s.

This is the point we are making. Once you put on one of the more popular lifts, the 33's look too small.

Nice looking Jeep.

I've seen lifted Saharas with 285/75R18 tires. They are 35 inches tall but only 11.2 inches wide; mount right onto the factory wheels. I like that they fit flush with the fenders. They look great!

The one drawback is that this tire size is offered only in a handful of brands.

Rubicon suspension will look best with 33" roughly 1" lift.
Can always add dystar 3/4"spring spacers if you are planning to run 35s in the future and want to make sure you have zero rubbing.

My 2018 Sahara has 33" Falkens on stock wheels; no lift. My plan was to lift the jeep and add 35" tires once the Falkens wore out. Here's the rub: Since Covid I drive about 100-200 miles a month and that won't be changing anytime soon. As such my current tires are going to dry rot before the tread wears out. So the new plan is to keep the 33's but I still want to lift the jeep. Looking for recommendations on a lift that works well with 33" tires. Thanks in advance and of course pics are greatly appreciated.

Had no lift and the Falken Wildpeak AT3W for 18 months put 40k miles on during that time, they wore pretty even - great tires. Just had the Mopar Lift and 37 inch Falkens + Black Rhino Wheels put on. Also has the Fox 2.0 Steering Stabilizer I put on just before the recall came out. Recalibrated tire size for the 2.0T. Drives like stock, but feels more like a tank/higher center of gravity, but planted. Still have the small break kit from the stock steelies 0 issues. In fact my rear axel gave out just before everything was installed - replaced under power train warranty. All good now!

Note* when I say it drives like stock I mean the acceleration is identical to stock + the small breaks work fine. The fox shocks really clean up the wobbly ride. This is probably the most plain honest thing I've ever said in my life. 👀👋

edit ~ no intention to hijack the thread. Just figured I’d vouch for the Mopar Lift given what my current setup is. On feel alone it feels fantastic running the same brand tires although different sizes.

Mine has a **very** slight forward rake, and I like it. I bought the extra 0.5” front spacers in case but am sticking with it for now. Thought about the Rubicon suspension but had trouble finding a 2dr set, and the spacers meant I could guarantee the height. If I go to 35s at some point, I’ll do a real lift.

That looks good. That is the first pic of a "lifted" jeep with 33's that looks good to my eye. I assume that the Dynatrac is closer to a true 2" where the Mopar could be much taller?
