I don't think the average mileage displayed is lifetime. Otherwise it would settle down on a long-term average and not change unless your setup or driving habits changed significantly.
But the MPG average changes day to day or even minute to minute based on current driving so it must be just the average over the last few hundred miles or so.
Source: I know how an arithmetic mean works
It is lifetime . Every time you reset it, it starts over. I never hit reset and it changes as I drive up a steep mountain Rd. It gives you up to date average mpg. For instance, if I moved to the city tomorrow and left it alone my average mpg would start to drop and settle in at a different average. Its dynamic, it changes as you drive but not significantly if you are constant in your habits and geography

Once again, it is very rural here. No stop lights,no stop and go. Speed is pretty constant ,between 45 and 60. And I know for sure non ethanol plays a factor as I have seen what it does on my Allroad. Do you have the 4 turbo?
Yes I have the 2.0 E Torque Turbo. You can look at my Garage Page and see before & after pics.

Fixing stupid....
I WISH! I live in nebraska, and unfortunately your thinking is a bit off.. We have bad wind here, so i get MUCH better mileage around town than on the freeway.

Around town is 21, freeway is 12 - 19 depending it head or tail wind.

I remember blowing a water pump in North Platte on my way to Co. It was the flattest place I had ever seen. That Jeep design doesn't exactly slice through the wind easily. Live and learn.

Doc... Duh.
PHEV. WHERE ARE YOU!

I’d like to do a 2” molar lift and 35s but I’d prefer to do it on the PHEV assuming I can get decent mileage. My work commute is short.

19-20 mpg around town and 13-15mpg Highway!

My MPG so much worse on highway then city (2022 2-door JL 4cyl Turbo with AEV 2.5 lift and KO2 37” 4.10 Rear Axle Ratio)

I was well aware my MPG would be bad adding a AEV 2.5” lift and 37” tires but I did not expect my city driving MPG to be much better then my highway MPG. Is this normal?

So after installing a AEV 2.5” lift (seems more like 3”) and 37” tires on AEV wheels my 2 Door JL with 4 cyl turbo has been getting around 19-20 mpg around town which I was pleasantly surprised by. But I just did a 800 mile highway trip at cruise speeds 75-80 mph and my mpg has been between 13-15mpg (I came to mpg from Jeep on board computer and manually calculation)

I was surprised my Highway mpg was so bad compared to city mpg.

I have used the AEV ProCal to set speedo for 37” tires and speedo seems correct for mph
