Are there any 2-2.5 inch lifts that will work with stock Rubi wheels? Looked at several and all say that you will need to use spacers with stock wheels or get wheels with 4.75 inch backspacing or less. I plan on getting new wheels but not until later this year or early next year and will be doing my lift in the next couple of weeks.

@Jeep4Win did a Mopar lift on his 2 door, I'm pretty sure he didn't need to add wheel spacers.

I did indeed do the Mopar lift and added 315/70/17 KO2s to the stocks wheels. No spacers needed.

I switched to 315s on my 2 door Rubi with no lift and no spacers and no issues. With a lift you’ll be more than fine.

Clayton 1.5” springs netted me 3” on my 2dr SortS, I ran 285s for a couple months no issues until I switched wheels to get a little extra track width for 35x11.5.

I would focus on the lift you really want, and buy a cheap pair of spacers for the time being. Many times they are not obsoletely necessary, but the jeep drives better with a properly spaced wheel.

Rustys Offroad has some good options that do not require any wheel modifications unless you go with a steering upgrade. The tie rod is generally what becomes the issue. You will have no problem getting it aligned.

I didn't see any mention of larger tires - just using his Rubicon wheels with a lift ?
Why would this ever be an issue at all ?
It'll look taller and a bit odd but cool, but have the same wheels and tires he already has now so....
When you get to the new wheels and tires that's when wider wheels and backspacing will be the issue.

So there are a couple reasons for this, and not all are real (in your case).

The real one is whether or not the front LCAs are bent inward to allow clearance for rear edge of the tire at full steering lock. A significant amount of LCAs in aftermarket lifts are not. As mentioned above, the Mopar arms are. I know Metalcloak's do as well, there are a few others.

Most manufacturers give a single generic backspacing regardless of trim. So they have to take into account the narrower axles on most of the trims (~.75" per side). In general, this would require them to add the 3/4" to the backspacing number.

I personally am not a fan that backspacing is used without indication of wheel width on any of them. It's kind of the easy way out. Backspacing on the stock wheel is 6". That backspace on a 10 wheel would gain additional 1.25" of clearance with the same tires.
