I have a new JLU 4 door Sahara. I live in the UK and use it as my daily drive and would like to add 33inch KO2 all terrain tyres. I can’t decide if a 2” spacer lift would look better than no lift. Can anyone post pics of either?

I only have pix of my JL with 33” KO2s and no lift at the moment; the Jeep already looks better with the larger tires and they clear without a lift.

I should be getting a Daystar 3/4-inch leveling kit installed in the next couple weeks; should be able to post pix then.

In the meantime, I can already tell you that, yes, your Jeep will look better with 33” KO2s and a 2-inch lift.

I have a 1.5 week old JLUR and I have no plans to lift it. My vision for what I want to to off-reading/over-landing likely means that I will be quite happy with the bunny slopes. But, the reason that I purchased the Rubicon was because I wanted to have a stock vehicle that was “lifted more” than a sport or Sahara and had a bit more functionality off-road.

If the question is should you lift it because of 33’s the answer would be no. I’m running 33’s without rubbing, no lift.

Anything bigger and your rig will require it.

Cheers!
thanks

This may be a misleading because it's a 3.5" lift and 35s... but it's on a Sahara! No lift vs lift.

Bigger tires alone will give it a tougher look for sure. The lift will help if you're going for looks though. I wanted looks and capability. I wanted it done right and I wanted to do it once (yeah, I know, I'll always be upgrading it), so I went all out and got everything I wanted to do including bigger tires and the lift done. That's how I like to do things though. Go big or going home style.

When it comes down to it though, it's your jeep and you can do what you like and what you think looks best or works best for you. I know opinions help, but that's the cool thing about our rides is that even though they're all JLs, they're all our own that we've all built a little differently. And of course, the cost is always something to consider. But if you like it and can afford it, my opinion... Go for it!

Lift it! I happen to also like the looks of a taller jeep without bigger tires. I am doing a 2in lift and gonna run my 33's through the winter, then decide on 35's or not.

Put in oem Rubicon suspension with .5” spacer up front to level it. rubi adds about 1” or so of lift over your stock set up. 33s add about .5”. Ive had stock and rubi, rubi looks and rides better imo

I put the Rubicon wheels with KO2 on my Sahara. You can see in profile pic. And garage
If you check mfr tyre specs I think the ~33" KO2 is only about 0.5" larger than a ~32" Duellers.
IMO a 2" lift would look too be a bit much unless you put on a 35" tyre.
