I know everyone is going to say so it yourself however my driveway isn't flat enough and my garage looks like a storage into right now so not really an option.

So my question is what should I realistically have to pay to have a lift installed at a shop. Specifically the metalcloak gamechanger 3.5 complete with a new drive shaft.

I have a quote now but trying to not influence answers so I won't post right now.

Thanks for any help here.

I'm interested in seeing your quote. I just had a 3.5 MC GC with DB3 Drop Brackets and front driveshaft installed 3 weeks ago. My install charge for the lift and DB3 drop brackts was $1575, plus $150 for the driveshaft install. That was the out the door cost including alignment, geometry, and steering adjustments. It also includes a one time checkup after I take it out on the trails. At $150/hr thats 10hrs plus an hour for the driveshaft. It seemed reasonable for a full featured lift like the GC.

I am probably dumb for not shopping around for quotes, but there's only two MC authorized installers in MN. The one I went to was the only gold level installer, not sure what that means. I've not found a good off road suspension shop around me. There are a lot of shops that work on trucks, but no real Jeep experts. The shop I chose were really good guys and seemed like they know what they're doing. Will likely go back to them when I replace tie rod, drag link and steering stabilizer this coming winter or spring.

Check this out. Or This.

This should give you a rough idea what you can expect to install and get the alignment dialed in. Off Road Warehouse is an authorized installer and Jeep Doctor is a Gold level installer. That's per Metalcloak's website. You can't go wrong either way.

I had that exact lift installed for $650. Lot of people recommended the place so that's where I went.

@Storm Cloud do you have any input on this? I know the shop you used did a very good job and is here in SoCal, just don't know the specifics of the pricing.

What does an “Advanced Alignment” consist of?

When I first scheduled mine I had ordered a 2.5 GC. I was quoted $1350 for the lift and all geometry and allignment adjustments. The driveshaft install was quoted $150. The following Monday I called and upped it to the 3.5 GC with the DB3 Drop Link. The DB3 added $225 to get to my total $1575. Very close to this estimate, although for me the "Advanced Alignement" was included.
