Lift and wheel backspacing question

I have a 19 JL Rubicon. I want to install a 2.5” Rock Krawler lift. The lift calls for 4.5” backspacing. I am also looking at purchasing mopar 17” beadlocks with 37x12.5 r17 nitto ridge grapplers. Mopar specs show 4.4” or 12mm offset. I don’t understand wheel sizes that well. Wondering if this 4.4 backspacing will rub or will I be ok?

+12 is 5 inches of backspace with that wheel. If RK requires 4.5 or less you will most likely run into an issue. Probably contact with the rear swaybar links.

Thank you. What I don’t understand is why mopar would show it as 4.4 backspacing.

Probably because it's only 8" wide vs most aftermarket wheels that are 8.5 to 9" wide. A +12 on a 9" is 5" backspacing.

We run that wheel and 37/12.5 tires. No rubbing on a 3.5” MC lift. Love the wheels. They are 8” wide simulated beadlock as 8.5” as a beadlock. Red ring is approx $140 each and allows for use as a beadlock. Silver is the decorative trim ring

I think I’m going to go this route and either find out about metalcloak 2.5” lift or get the mopar 2” lift if it won’t fit with metalcloak. Thanks for the answers. Do you wheel and have any problems with the beadlock losing air?

select the 4.5 back spacing option for metal cloak, much better lift than the mopar. love ours. we use the simulated beadlocks so basically a regular wheel and a decorative ring. we air down to 10 psi and havent had any issues. might get the beadlock rings in the future to mess around with but dont see a functional reason for our use
