License Plate location like the Fender mounted RUBICON

I'm looking for a fender mounted licnse plate bracket like the Rubicom.
Will ribicon rear license plate ( on the fender) bracket fit a 2018 wrangler JL?

What bracket are you referring to? All the JL wranglers, including the Rubicon are mounted on the bumper.

I keep thinking a couple rivnuts right under the left taillamp and an LED stuck under the taillamp (ala trailer lighting kits) would be sweet

I saw a previous year rubicon with a fender mounted license plate and light. The paers dept was not really helpful indicating he had nver seen a kit for that

This entire time I was thinking license plate mounted like mud flaps.

That’s how the JKs were mounted. I’ve not seen a kit to mount on a JL like that.

So that's what I thought you were referring to but the "fender mount" comment confused me. There is no OE bracket for the JLs. However, there is an aftermarket company that makes a license plate bracket for that location on the JLs but its secured to the bumper, not the body. I'll have to do some digging to see if I can find it.

Thanks for the reply unfortunately that mounts to a replacement (LOD) Bumper.
Could be workable with e new fabricated bracket.

Possibly order the Jk parts and make some modifications to fit the JL

If you move the plate to the JK position and want to keep the factory bumper, you'll be left with an empty plate bracket that's lit up at night. I've yet to see any blank out panels out there that would clean it back up.

This is the bracket I was thinking of. Couldn't remember who made it. I'm sure it could be adapted to work with any aftermarket bumper if you know what you're doing.

if you aren’t replacing the bumper, why on earth would you want to relocate the license plate??

Headbarcode I planned on relocating the wiring for the light as well to illimate the plate just as the JK.
Firemadz I like the looks and the plate screws don't seam to grip the bumper well.

Still investigating:
Ive heard that the JL tail lights have an issue for off road as well with branched snapping them off.
Does the JK license plate bracked have that issue, off road or perhape in tight parking spaces?
