Using the Level 1 charger that came with the Wrangler for the first time, plugged in to the wall works without issue.

It will be plugged in for 7 hours, just think it's asinine that this $150 charger was designed to be left unsecured for hours when in use.

Other PHEVs do have this feature, as well as a light. Hopefully a minor detail for the 2024 refresh.

If you can't set a $100 bill on fire without care, you're not ready for Jeep ownership.

Egr: "We should secure this connection"
Mgmt: "Huh? NOBODY is gonna charge with this outside of their garage! C'mon, man!"

They have a security hole built in the handle that lets you lock it in place with a small padlock.

I can't remember the size lock I used. I had some left over level 2 Master locks for my tent and camping gear that I repurposed for this.

Toronto unhoused lurking around looking to steal stuff would make quick work of a padlock.

If the unhoused wanted to make quick work, they'd be better off just breaking a window and stealing something from the inside or opening the unlocked hood and taking the battery which would be easier to sell than a specialized cable . Locks keep honest people honest... Imo

Wait until they figure out you can open the Jeep's hood without an interior release!

Seriously, though ... I'm not sure it's realistic for every piece of the car to be locked down. If you're parked in an area where the charging cord is likely to be stolen, just don't plug it in at that place? And if that's the case, I'd also be concerned about parking a $65,000 4xe in that location tbh.
