Finally had chance to get the new JL out with our Vistabule this weekend and I’m extremely happy to say it towed it better than either our JKUR or our 4Runner Ltd! Very comfortably sat towing at 70mph on the highway in 7th and 8th gear at not more than 2500rpm. And while it wasn’t exactly an 80mph speed limit through Montana with huge grades, there were some decent hills that simply pushed it down to 6th and kept the speed using cruise control. Absolutely thrilled with the new 2.0 & 8 speed combo for towing!

This is exactly as I felt. I am towing a 3,500 lb. Skeeter bass boat and was VERY impressed with the 2.0L and 8 speed combo! I also, had a 2017 Tundra Platinum and some may not believe this, but the Jeep to me is more stable, now it doesn't have the power, that the Tundra did, but more than my 2018 4-Runner Limited, that is for sure!! I was impressed how the cruise held the seed and the adaptive cruise is so smooth that I even let it do its thing...

Now, I ran 75-80 mph and I was getting 8 mpg, but that is okay with me... I was towing the boat which is somewhat heavy.

Hey everyone. Wanted to share my thoughts from my first trailering experience with my 2020 JLUR 6spd-MT powered by Pentastar. Jeep was loaded with family and dogs heading to OBX. Pulling a 5X10 Sure-Trac trailer loaded with ~1,500lbs of weight. Average speed in 60s. Spent the majority of time in 5th gear. Impressed with 16.6 average mpg. Very pleased with power to pull and stability. Could definitely feel the trailer when braking. I’m hoping the RUBI upgraded brakes hold up. Bottomline: I’m happy with how it did. No complaints.
