Not really, you take a plastic trim tool and pry up the boot, lift it high enough to loosen the set screw. The tricky part is you have to use a tap and die kit to thread the shift lever and drill out and thread the ball. Those inserts that come with it are to small.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm done with the red now. Just wanted to spread it a bit further than factory. Both of these products perfectly match the red dash.

The freedom panel latches are from the company Agency6. They are machined aluminum and come anodized in several different color options.

The grab handles are from ATP (American Trail Products) and are also red anodized machined aluminum.

Went to the Agency6 site to get those latches and the red one are out of stock.
Hopefully they will email me when they become available.

I checked too. Basically all of their colors are including burnt orange. I think black might be available? Seems the only way to get these in a color you want, at least at the moment, is to order black and get them powder coated. Super unfortunate. These are awesome.

They were out of stock when I first heard of them. I don't remember it taking too long before they were back in stock. I've had them for over a year now.

Well, I'm actually still a work in progress. Changing all the red accents to a color similar to Bikini Blue. Still waiting on all my replacement decals and seat covers.

I took the dash apart and used vinyl wrap for the color change. There a a few YouTube videos on how to remove the pieces. The instrument cluster is from US Speedo. The trail rated badge is custom. I had to purchase an all black badge and wrap the entire side with the same vinyl wrap as the interior. Then with a steady hand, razor blade and a ton of patience, I cut out the areas that I wanted the black to show.

My wife's sewing machine has a bartack stitch, so I picked up some nylon webbing and made my own "square back" cargo net in high vis green to match my hood sticker... which I made with her cricut machine. I'm guessing I'll be scrapbooking before too long. I've gotta go cut some wood or hammer something now.

Edit: I haven't decided what in gonna do with this yet, but the color is perfect....
