The BF Goodrich KO2s in 315/70/17 size (C-rated) seem to be the go to option (they are light and have the three peak mountain snowflake). I noticed a slight degradation in acceleration after putting the 35s on but I got used to it quickly. The thing still hauls (for a Jeep!).
Thanks! Do I need to have the dealer adjust the tpms, odometer, or tailgate?

No sir had all that and hinges wrapped to match the grill and them make a cool little cowl piece in black to tie it all together.

It all pulled together nicely. Looks great 👍🏻

That is up to you. At 70mph, the 35s will read 2-3mph slower than the 33s. The speedometer of my first JLUR was spot on so I was planning on recalibrating the speedo. However, when I got my 392, I saw that the speedo was reading 2-3mph faster so with the 35s, it's just about spot on.

You should consider getting a tazer - you can adjust the speedo, TPMS, etc. with the device (and a lot more).

Are you getting the reinforced hinge gate? If so, you should be fine.

Yeah I already have this lift as my number one choice. Was going to wait a bit but maybe it will speed up my timeline. How noticeable is the sag visually speaking?
Would not have noticed had I not measured before and after. I think the girth of the front hood helps better disguise the rake than on other JLs.

Couple of crummy shots just after having 37x12.5x17 BFG KO2 C rated installed at Discount Tire. No rubbing on stock 392 wheels

No lift? No wheel spacers? ...and no rubbing? Sounds too good to be true...lol.

Have you flexed it out at all?

I would love for this setup to work, but I didn't think it would...at least not for off-road use.

TIA

No flexing yet, Sorry, first concern was just on road :) Might add a clayton lift to gain another inch but personally i like the oem wheels and the tucked look. also BFG KO2s run pretty small

I have the 37" KO2s and added TeraFlex 1.75" wheel spacers to keep from rubbing the control arms up front. Off road, the rear tires lightly rub the fender liners which I can probably resolve with a heat gun applied to the fender liners. No indication of rub offroad up front with the wheel spacers.

There are some good looking Jeeps in this thread.

I was firmly in the camp of keeping the stock 33" tires for acceleration, handling, mpg....

Then after seeing so many comments that the stock tires looked smallish & reading through this thread, now I want to go for 35" tires.

What would be the best 35" option for keeping it stock-like from a driving perspective?
A 35" KO2 AT? If so, what is the recommended size for the stock wheels?

Also, is there a lighter 35" AT tire that I should consider? I will be on snow and ice occasionally during the winter.

Thanks!
A few members are going with the new Goodyear Wrangler Terrain MT as they provide you a 35 inch (315) tire while sporting an aggressive look and only 52 lbs per tire!
Although it says MT (stands for maximum traction?) it’s more of an AT tire.

Other options if trying budget weight, yet wanting to increase diameter would be: Duratracs at 62 lbs, or KO2s at 66.5 lbs. (both 315s)

The guard tube does interfere with the front camera a bit but not terrible. Here is a photo from the cockpit. Hope this helps.

Appreciate the details! Going to add this to the next round of upgrades. Have to invest in insulating the entire floor. The heat is brutal in South Texas and after rides of an hour, the floors emanate too much heat from the driver and passenger floor boards, plus the rear cargo area.. the install is most likely going to be 3-4 times the price of the:

thanks again 👍🏻

Thanks at only 52lbs per tire that is a solid option.
Is this the exact tire? https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tire...Model=Wrangler+Territory+MT&partnum=17SR7WTMT

Thanks @JDLouisville for info above.

Anyone know the weight of the stock wheels?
FWIW I went and visually evaluated these tires. Although the GY Terrains are 315s, the 315 GY Duratracs on the right have more width. (I guess this is how the Terrains shed some of the weight)

Hope this helps anyone considering light(er)weight 35s.

And Love6MT, so you don't order the wrong the one, there is also a 35"x12.5R17 size that some have gone with (usually on aftermarket wheels I think). It can be confusing because I think some people have referred to the 315/70/17 size as a 35" tire but they are actually about 34.4".

I'm going to do the 315/70/17 KO2 but haven't decided whether I'll squeeze them onto the stock rims or buy a different wheel.
