Love it. It’s so fricking fun.
Going to test drive one hopefully this next week. Closest I could find was 130+ miles from me. Had a 2017 JK with a manual. But this manual is totally different.

As you probably already know, it’s very different from the JK manual. But it feels really good. The clutch pedal feel takes some getting used to, but otherwise I love it. The rubicon 4.11 gearing is a little strange - but it’s still super fun to drive.

How many miles you got on those KM3s nowadays and how have they been for you? I've been sold on this size KM3 but after seeing / hearing how they sound in this review they seem like they get pretty loud after about 9k:

Since I run topless / doorless most of the time I'm worried I'm gonna regret it, but at the same time I don't have a long required highway commute day to day - long highway driving only happens when I'm on my way to the trail.
I have 35K on them now and can get another 10K easily or so. Never rotated them. So it made them cup a little so has gotten louder Id say after 20k miles. No where as near as loud as the STT Pros I had on my FJ though. Those suckers got loud, but again never rotated them.

Tolerable around town with the doors off yeah? Such a tough call on my first set of MTs - I truly want the KM3s but the appeal of the quieter treadblock design on the Patagonias is tough to pass up. I figure I could always find a buyer for the KM3s if needed tho. Thanks for the feedback

Having just gone to KM3's from the Patagonias... The Pats are much quieter, better mileage (true), and I know they did well in winter.

The KM3's have been louder but feel more "planted." Stability on street and off road has improved. Hard to describe but easy to feel. The KM3's also grip better off road, though the Pats were perfectly fine. Now snow performance of the KM3's are likely to be tiptoe lightly... Loving them so far.

Bottom line IMHO is that you can't go wrong with either.

I can't speak to the noise level of the KM3's, but I can about the KM2's.

I ran the KM2's on my 2012 JK Rubi 2 door for about 5 years and actually thought they were quieter than the stock BFG KM's that came on the Rubi. I did rotate the KM2's every 5,000 km's (5 tire rotation), and at about 40,000 km's I siped the center tread blocks. This helped quite a bit with handling and traction in both light rain and light snow.

Here's a few pics for reference.

The first pic is of the stock 255/75/17 BFG KM next to the 285/70/17 KM2. Both tires had about 35,000 km's on them at the time I took this pic.

The second pic is the siping that I added to the KM2's. The KM2's had about 50,000 km's on them (~ 10/32 - 11/32 tread depth left) when I took this pic last week.
