Nice! Four Jeeps rolling strong!Ventura County, Ca. back country yesterday with a couple friends from SB4x4 club.
Tracks pretty straight, but does require you to be a little bit more attentive with the steering wheel. Installer inflated the tires to 38 PSI I’m going to air down to about 30 and see if that improves this. Still handles better than my previous JKU on Trail Grappler 35s and Mopar lift. Still has plenty of pep for on ramps and passing on the high way and I’m able to maintain pretty low RPMs. I see no reason to regear right nowHow is it at highway speeds above 70? Track straight? Also gearing do you feel the need to go to 4.56 or is the 4.10s ok with the smaller 37s?
Yea it’ll feel completely different at 30 psi. 38 is way too muchTracks pretty straight, but does require you to be a little bit more attentive with the steering wheel. Going from 4.10’s to 4.56’s will be barely noticeable. 4.88’s or 5.13’s would be a better choice. I’m running 4.88’s with 37’s set at 32PSI and I love it, I also have a 6spd manual. How is it at highway speeds above 70? Track straight? Thanks for the insight and thanks for the lift kit!Going from 4.10’s to 4.56’s will be barely noticeable. 4.88’s or 5.13’s would be a better choice. I’m running 4.88’s with 37’s set at 32PSI and I love it, I’m also have a 6spd manual.
This is correct for a manual but not for the 8 speed auto trans. The 2 are completely different. I keep being told 4.88 for a manual with 37s and auto you want 4.56 for 37s.Going from 4.10’s to 4.56’s will be barely noticeable. 4.88’s or 5.13’s would be a better choice. FWIW I'm running 37's on mine with the auto and 4.10 gears. It still gets into 8th on the highway and I'm up to 19.7 mpg. Seems fine on the trails too. This is correct for a manual but not for the 8 speed auto trans. The 2 are completely different. The 8 speed auto makes 37s livable without having to regear but when you do it’s great from what I’m gathering. Not really needed, but makes it ride like stock again with 4.56...in the auto trans not manual.FWIW I'm running 37's on mine with the auto and 4.10 gears. nice wheels!Scoured these forums looking for inspiration for my JLR so I wanted repay the favor and help out anyone else in a similar boat as me:
2019 JLR 2.0 Turbo
37x12.50 KM3s
17" Venomrex VR-501s
Teraflex ST1 1.5" spacer lift with Falcon 2.1 shocks & 2" bump stop kit
Teraflex Sport LCAs
Rides smoother than stock, not a huge hit in acceleration or MPG. I think the proportions and stance look perfect with the smaller lift and relatively small 37s. Haven't taken it off road yet but if the situation dictates I may upgrade to a full 2.5" lift down the road.
