]Hands down, the Quake headlights are top level quality. The ship-I’d quick and the packaging was bulletproof. The directions were very easy to follow and complete. A quick note - I am mechanically challenged and without encouragement from Command Line RC, I would have paid a shop $200 to do the install. I watched all the YouTube videos and was ready to go at first light.
Managed to get the hood unlatched after a couple of minutes, and got the hood propped open. Feeling good at that point. Started prying off the plugs. The third one was a little tough - when it came out, it came out fast and richoched off the garage and into that place where parts go to hide. Got the others out and then went to pull the grill off.
On the videos you simply AP-KY a little pressure and it pops off - not so forme. I am a big guy and have some real power. I just kept adding pressure, it came off with a bang and went flying. Unlike the little plug, I was able to find it.
With the grill off it took less than 5 minutes to remove the halogens and replace with Quake. Figment was perfect. A simple plug and play replacement. Turned on the lights all both worked. The grill goes on easier than coming off. Put in the surviving 5 plugs and buttoned down the hood.
I’ll write a report tonight on the light quality after dark - but I can tell you if you’re looking for a headlight replacement vs a bulb exchange, this is the way to go.
