Tore my left LED tail light and left fender off on a rock wall. Went to dealer to replace and was $800 just for the one. Found these new LED flush mounts from Oracle about $400 for the pair. Has proximity too. The new JL LED tail lights just stick out too far if you actually use your jeep.

Most folks don't use them. Smashed one of my halogen, Ebay replacement $65 used. I didn't order a bells and whistles Jeep for off roading. An Oracle will still cost $200 to replace.

The Amazon vehicle lookup tool can't be trusted. I've purchased several parts that fit well on the vehicle for which they were purchased, despite their alleged incompatibility per the lookup tool (this is where we see the real value of product reviews.) Fitment can be cross-checked at sites like Rock Auto, etc. before clicking Buy Now.

Note that the Oracle flush LED lights are truly plug-n-play only on those JL with factory halogen (incandescent) tail lights. Those owners replacing their OEM LED lights have hyperflash errors that will require fixing, and the BSM/proximity function is virtually non-functioning after the sensors are installed in the Oracle light housings.

I put these in a year ago, been fine ever since. Didn't have to reprogram or anything. They fit the stock housing/wiring and at least give me the brighter, instant-on LED lighting I wanted.

I meant you can’t got to halogen if you have the LED tails (like someone else was suggesting)

Like me, you are entitled to your opinion. Do you feel that a vehicle with shitty lights should cost $50k+????

My old school shitty halogens melt the snow off faster and are cheaper to replace. Besides, I don't care what my taillights look like, as I can't see them while I'm driving. However, everyone passing me must be able to see them because I haven't been rear ended yet.
50K for a sport s seems kinda marked up. but then, I went for the zero frills, all manual Willys with A/C as an option for $30k

2018 JL Sport w/ standard Halogen Taillights

I tried these same Amazon lights. Worked error free for a bit, but I would get a "bulb out" error message when stopped for a bit at traffic signals or the In-n-Out drive thru.

I switched to these LED replacement bulbs from Diesel LEDs. I had not had a problem since. Very happy with these. Very bright red and instant on.

The difference I found was the Amazon bulbs say they are for Tail & brake light 2 function bulbs. The Diesel LED's state they are for 3 function bulbs, tail, brake and turn.
