Bought my Jeep less then a year ago. My parents Sahara a few months ago and none of them cost $50k… stock.

I’m sure I’m in the minority. Actually like the look of the halogens vs the led”s. Though think for the price of a JL should be led”s. The brightness and lifetime use of led”s is hard to beat.

I changed the headlights to the @KC HiLiTES Gravity and everything else I just replaced with LED lights instead the halogens. Very happy with the results and retains the classic taillights. Plus it was far cheaper and I feel outperform the factory option.

My current JL is my 6th Wrangler (5 plus my CJ, to be more accurate). None of them have had LED tails. I'd estimate I've driven these vehicles a combined 750k miles, with a fairly even split between nighttime and daylight driving. I have been rear-ended exactly zero times. This tells me that these "shitty" lights have performed quite admirably.

Now that I think of it, if you add the purchase price of my 2 most expensive Jeeps, it wouldn't equal 50k. When I hear what some people are paying for these things recently, I can't help but feel like they should have their own telethon.
I like the look of the LEDs, and I heard all the horror stories of the halogens... so I obsessively researched LEDs before mine was delivered... but so far the halogens have been fine. Although I do live in an urban area that tends to be well lit. I can see it being a bigger deal more in the rural areas... but I did grow up in a small town and the brights did the job when needed.

Depends on your options & whether you get a 4 door. I have a 2022 2 door Rubicon on order. With the LED lighting group & hard top. It also comes standard now with the 8.4” screen, alpine premium audio, and proximity door unlock. Total with destination is $41k (5% off invoice). So, it really just depends how much you want to option it up.

I really should start a build thread. But before people ask. Bumpers are Road Armor and seats are Mopar styled Katzkin self installed.

Sometimes I get the feeling that I'm in the minority... but I really like the red accents with most Wrangler colors.

Thant's crazy that the LED package is 2k and it doesn't come with LED taillights. That price and they may even be able to put an LED light under the hood..
Except it isn't. It's 1100.

Hello, Steven. I see you have removed your Kinda homeless status. Have you decided to settle down?

I just hated the lenses on the stock ones…they look like the cheap generic big rig lights that cost like $10. Jeep needs to do better for a vehicle that costs $50k. It’s BS it doesn’t come with LEDs all around from the factory. You shouldn’t have to pay $2000 for the LED package and Safety Group to get them
Jeep is definitely nickel-and-diming us. It is insulting a $30K-$85K Wrangler does not come with a LEDs, hood lock, locking gas cap, hood struts, and a few other things a $20K econo-box has as standard equipment. I guess they do it because they can...
