If I'm reading it correctly the auto is available with the V6 if you get the Extreme Recon package. The ER package (aka Xtreme 35 tire package) does not say "NA W/ERC". You probably have to add another $2500 for the DFT/auto when ordering the V6 with the ER Package.
But, that is just Willys and not on the Rubicon X, correct?

Anvil isn’t a dark blue and pretty unique (if you don’t realize it’s a copy of Ford’s Area 51). There’s also the new green.
Anvil was around long before Ford came out with that color. Ford copied Chrysler.

Fingers crossed on those half doors!

IMO and for what it is worth, Jeep is desperately trying to reduce costs. One way to do that is simplify the product line and offerings. Not a good plan if you want growth and is not the path that Jeep has followed with the JK or the JL over that past many years.
Agreed. They just potentially lost a customer. I was looking to factory order a JL or JT this year with the dual door group. Not sure what I'll do now.

Doesn't help that they got greedy and started jacking up those sticker prices to unrealistic levels. Now it's biting them in the ass. Payback is a bitch.

I've owned CJs and Wranglers since I was 14, including 3 yellow and a crush orange. I'm ready to buy a manual V6 and trade this 4XE in, but none of the colors are tempting. WTF don't they have a good orange, yellow, or purple?

just have to ask, has anyone gotten a dealer to tell them the CAN order an automatic with the 3.6l? do we really expect it to be January or later before they let us order that combination?

All Jeep literature, website, media releases, 3rd party media, and dealer ordering guides show the 3.6+Auto is unavailable to order for 2025s. Pretty clear no dealers can order it now or any planned upcoming time. Normally we see Jeep at times not allow options to be ordered during the year (ie dual doors, 35s, some colors) instead of opening up more options. Sure it's possible Jeep changes this at some point, personally I highly doubt it will be available at all for the 2025s.

You doubt it will be available to order, or at all? Because I really have to doubt the entire 2025 line of rubicons wont get an automatic with an engine other than the 4 banger turbo. I know I could be wrong, just saying.

Best intel is that V6 + auto will be available first quarter of 2025. But why would anyone wait just to pay extra for a worse engine?

I am re-examining my preconceptions, but Im not of fan of turbos [been a few decades since ive driven one tho] and have confirmation bias in favor of a 6cyl. :)

Both engines are underwhelming, the Ford 2.7L on the Bronco is much better.

Wish their was a i6 or something worth upgrading $5k-15k more. Not an impractical V8 thats closer to 100k. A wrangler more expensive than a Porsche is ridiculous.

Personally I slightly prefer the 2.0 and it's $2k cheaper. I get the argument of preferring a NA engine. But the 2.0 has proven pretty reliable and there's so many out there it's kind of splitting hairs and not worth holding out for one over the other IMO.

Where did you hear Q1 2025? I haven't seen any mention of the 3.6+auto being available.

They'll have the 392 for a "final final" year, the 4xe, and 2.0 all three as autos for Rubicon. I'd imagine almost all buyers would be fine with the 2.0 instead of 3.6, it has faster 0-60 and better MPG.

Assuming you may like to keep vehicles awhile and like the simplicity of NA engine which I also agree has advantages. That's probably a very small niche of new Wrangler buyers.
