As I’m sure many of you have previously read, the LASFIT aux switches are a great option if you’re looking to add an OEM look switch panel. To my knowledge, there’s nothing else even close in appearance to the factory piece.

I won’t bore you with too many installation details. There’s plenty of YouTube videos out there that describe the process, and to be honest, I installed mine completely blind. Didn’t read any instructions, and didn’t watch any videos until after the install was complete. It’s quite intuitive after only seeing a couple of previous posts about where the fuse/relay box mounts. Keep in mind I’ve been an auto tech for nearly 4 decades. If your more of a DIY person, or someone with zero experience, you’ll wanna read instructions and watch a couple of videos to familiarize yourself with the project

I can’t make an honest comparison with other brands other than appearance as I’ve not used any of the other brands, but LASFIT wins hands-down with a factory look.

Pics and comments to follow.

Fuse/relay box mounted. Not much to say other than it fits perfectly. I will say that I don’t like that the 1 factory bolt, and the 1 included bolt don’t match, but that’s just because I’m slightly OCD about that kind of stuff. I’ll replace them both at some point so they match. It’s also bothersome to me that I can see through the logo. I’d rather it be solid black with no logo, but I’d be ok with a solid bracket with a laser engraved logo vs. being cut through the bracket. Again, that’s not really a negative comment on the product, just my preference.

Typical installation runs the harness between the wire chase and the cowl sheet metal. I chose to pop open the wire chase and run the harness inside with the factory wiring. Not all all necessary, but OCD strikes again. There’s 10-12 clips to undo, and they were a bear. I don’t think they’re intended to ever open after they’ve been latched. Opening the clips and running the harness was by far the longest part of the process at about 30 minutes.

Here’s where the harness goes through the firewall with the included grommet. I wasn’t able to remove the factory plug from under the hood, so I took a long 3/8” extension and a hammer and popped it out from inside the cab. Piece of cake.

Included grommet needs to be opened up. A spent .40 caliber case makes the perfect hole punch, though I’m sure anything you have handy will work. Screwdriver, exacto knife, etc.

Tucked the interior leads behind the carpet until I need them. No need to take anything apart down the road.

My ultimate goal is to use a couple of switches for lighting, maybe one for a compressor and I’ll wire one to a winch power relay, and a relay that will also bypass the auto-park feature simultaneously.
