Man, I'm wondering if 285/75/18 would fit on a stock Sahara.... Decisions, decisions.
They should.
Ehh.. I probably don't endorse this... I am going to put 285/75R17 tires on my JLUS with -6 offset. They are 33.8" diameter--I think it will be fine, but with much flex I anticipate some rubbing on the rear fender. 285/75R18 would be 34.8" and that may REALLY push it. 285/70R18 is the same size tire I am doing.. so obviously I am all for it haha.

Maybe I am wrong though and the +44 offset of the stock wheels will be enough to keep that tire tucked inside the rear fender. Of course.. this all depends on how you're driving it.

Anyway, just thought I would share my thoughts. I'm no expert so take it with a grain of salt.

I decided on some 295/70/r18 and should have them fitted next week. I’ll keep y’all posted on this. I rolled the dice on it after a reading a few other threads plus the price was cheaper than the 285/75/18’s.

so no rub on this at all? did you use spacers and do you see a mph change from the speedo going up a little bigger?
No rub at all, no spacers, and I am ordering a Taser JL this weekend to recalibrate everything.

KMC XD Monster 2's with Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/75R17's. Absolutely no rub, C-rated rubber, and with the pressure down to 35 they ride just like the stock wheels.

Did you have to remove the bumper connect for the tires to fit? or was that just personal preference?

Since I went with the Sahara over the Sport there was no bumper connect.

I was curious if you put these on? We are waiting on our Sahara JL and shopping for tires and this is the size my husband was looking at. Did you do a lift? Best of luck with your Jeep!!!!

Brand new to the forum. Just ordered a JLU Sahara and wanted to know how big of a tire I can put on the stock rim without adding a lift or leveling kit?
I have 35's on my JL, no lift. These wheels have a -12 off set, so they stick out, don't listen to people who say they'll rub on a speed bump, I've climbed on some big stuff just to test it, they won't rub. You would have to disconnect and get really serious before you'll have any issue. I've owned many Jeeps, right now I have 5, I love this set up. Rides like it did the day I picked it up!

for 35's most likely yes. You can do it through the dealer or buy a recal tool like superchips.

Love this, I have the same color and similar wheel combo. Went with the ATX201. Think I am going to do the same with a rubi suspension thrown on

Yep, you should do one. Dealer can do it for you or you can buy a programmer to do it yourself. SuperChips ProCal is an option - though I would strongly, strongly recommend ordering a Tazer from Zautomotive. They are members on the forum, are JL owners, and release new features regularly. My Tazer is sitting on the shelf at home waiting on my JL to be delivered :)

I didn’t. Ended up with 35x12.5xr18’s with a 2.5 Evonlift.
