Are all these posts and pics w 17” wheels correct for this thread topic “largest tire -stock rims”??.

I ASSumed stock rims where 18” rims on the Sahara. I’m interested in getting larger more aggressive tires on my stock rims (with no lift) but this thread is throwing me off.

Did you search this thread?

In post #102 I have pictures showing 18" Sahara wheels on 33' BF Goodrich tires.

Just upgraded to BFG KO2 285/75/R17. Makes it look way more aggressive and fun to drive. Here’s before and after on my JLU Sahara.
Did you put a leveling kit or anything on? Front end looks slightly lifted. Could just be the angle of the photo but it looks great.

Are you sure your tires are 285/75, it looks like the are 285/70 from the sidewall shot. The difference is significant, a little more than an inch.

285/75/R17 measures 33.9"
285/70/R17 measures 32.8"

Anyone running 285/70/18s? Only a few tires that are available in that size. Thinking either the Nitto exo or ridge grappler

Brand new to the forum. Just ordered a JLU Sahara and wanted to know how big of a tire I can put on the stock rim without adding a lift or leveling kit?
Stock wheels are are only 7.5". You should not go over 11.5 inches wide, but I've seen a lot of people still putting on 12.5".

Well worn LT275/75R20s from a Ram 1500 with 1.25" wheel adapters... Needed to remove the "euro guard" fairing that connects the bumper to the fender to keep it from rubbing during sharp turns.

NICE!! Love the way those 285/75/17s fill the wheel well a little more than the 285/70/17s! I've been going back and forth on which to go with...this made up my mind. I also put a 1/5" leveler on the front which will give me a little added clearance.
What offset are your wheels?
Thanks
New to forum. After following here I went with Nitto’s 285/75/17 on Rockstar 3s. Been running a week with no issues.

Speedometer is off at higher speeds 2-3 mph. I’m wondering if anyone running these is considering doing a speedo calibration. Dealer tells me it shouldn’t be an issue but so far I get the feeling I know as much as they do.
